I hope that this reaches all of you doing well. I am so grateful to all of you for your concern about my health and the outpouring of love I have received - thank you. I am under great medical care and I am doing well, thank God.
Unfortunately, I will need to remain on bed rest until the end of my pregnancy. When we welcome these two new babies into our family (please God at the right time and in good health), I will then go on maternity leave, as planned. Until then, I am continuing to serve the community in the capacity that I can. As always, please don’t hesitate to reach out with any needs. While my email response time may be a bit slower than usual, I will do my best to get back to you. Being a part of this community is so much of what gives me purpose, and continuing to serve as a rabbi throughout this time is something I yearn for and am eager to do. We are quickly putting things in place for when I can’t be physically present and more info about those plans are forthcoming. If you have specific questions about needs and coverage, please do reach out.
Abe and I are so grateful for everyone’s care and love. We do ask that you not approach Abe about my condition or care in front of Lavi. For those of you that have asked how you can help, we are so appreciative. If you would like and are able to bring us a meal, you can sign up here . We feel so lucky to be a part of this community.
As ever, I have unending appreciation to Geo Poor for his tremendous dedication and professionalism, and to Illysa Wertheimer for her smooth and devoted leadership to our community. I have deep gratitude for the ways that each of you continue to show up for our community, whether it be ritually or through programming, to ensure that our shul is vibrant and active.
I look forward to continuing to be in touch with many of you, and I hope we’ll all be able to share good news soon.
